Your file stays with the same people from the first call to the residence card. The lawyer who tells you which visa fits is the one who signs it off, so nothing gets lost in a handover.
Lucia Lagunas Reyes heads the immigration department and runs the team that will look after you. Your first contact is always with her. After that some calls are hers and some are her colleagues’, because a team of more than ten legal professionals across Barcelona, Marbella and Valencia means somebody is available when you need one, instead of you waiting for a diary to open.
The tax side is a separate team, not the same lawyers wearing a second hat. And because a good share of our clients end up buying a home here, we work as real estate lawyers too: the purchase, the checks before you sign, the will that goes with it.
Immigration is rarely the only thing you need. Moving to Spain drags tax behind it, and we handle both inside the same firm. How we work
Your Case Handled Online Before You Move to Spain
Most people hire us months before they land in Spain.
We built the firm to work remotely from the start. You scan your documents at your kitchen table in Ohio or in Kent, and from there the file goes in one of two ways: to the Spanish consulate that covers your address, where we deal with the staff often enough to know how each one likes things presented, or filed electronically from Spain with our lawyer certificate. Either way, nobody asks you to cross the Atlantic for a signature.
We are a young team and we answer like one. Our rule is a reply within a day, and most of the time it lands the same day. We are reachable from six in the morning until midnight, Spanish time, seven days a week: the whole working day in Britain, all of it on the US East Coast, and the West Coast until mid afternoon. If you write on a Sunday because Sunday is when you finally had time to read the requirements, you are not waiting until somebody gets round to it.
Plenty of people tell us they would rather not sit in a law office at all, and that is fine. You can run the whole thing from your side of the screen: video or phone for the first conversation, scans for the documents, and a message when something moves. The offices are for the part of the process that genuinely needs a person in a room in Spain, and putting somebody in that room is what you are paying us for.

The blog turns into a practice, and the practice into an office on Roger de Flor.
